The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali Celebrates the Art of Coffee

In celebration of International Coffee Day, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali partners with MILKLAB to present The Art of Coffee, a month-long coffee experience centered around three signature beverages inspired by Mikael Jasin, 2024 World Barista Champion and MILKLAB Brand Ambassador. Available from 1 October to 30 November 2026, the collection invites guests to discover unique coffee creations crafted with premium espresso and MILKLAB's plant-based milk range.

Bringing the collection to life throughout the campaign is Maulida Fika, the resort's in-house Barista, who introduces guests to the stories, inspiration, and flavors behind each beverage at The Lobby Bar & Lounge. The experience culminates on 31 October 2026 with Brew After Hours, a special beachfront coffee gathering at the Beachfront, where Mikael Jasin and Maulida Fika will present the collection together in a relaxed setting by the ocean.

A Month Dedicated to the Art of Coffee
Available from 1 October through 30 November 2026, The Art of Coffee introduces three distinctive coffee creations inspired by Mikael Jasin and crafted using premium espresso and MILKLAB's plant-based milk range.

Lemon Almond Cookie
Inspired by a classic lemon cookie, this indulgent creation combines shortbread syrup and MILKLAB Almond for rich, cookie-like notes, finished with a velvety matcha foam infused with almond, lemon, and matcha.

Honey Oat Lychee
A fragrant latte featuring raw honey syrup and delicate lychee notes, balanced with MILKLAB Oat for subtle maltiness and finished with espresso for added depth and structure.

Macadamia Palm Sugar Latte
A comforting twist on the classic palm sugar latte, combining MILKLAB Macadamia, espresso and palm sugar, topped with aromatic pandan foam for a distinctive Southeast Asian touch.

Throughout the promotion, the collection is served at The Lobby Bar & Lounge, where guests can enjoy the beverages while learning more about the inspiration and craftsmanship behind each recipe.

Spotlight on Maulida Fika
At the heart of The Art of Coffee is Maulida Fika, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali's in-house barista, whose passion for specialty coffee continues to shape the resort's coffee experience. A professionally certified barista, Fika has developed extensive expertise in specialty coffee, manual brewing techniques, and sensory analysis. Her experience spans barista training, coffee program development, and service delivery at major corporate and hospitality events across Indonesia. As an active member of the specialty coffee community and a participant in the Indonesia Brewers Cup regional competition, Fika brings creativity, technical expertise, and genuine hospitality to every cup she serves. Through The Art of Coffee, she shares the stories and inspiration behind each beverage while creating memorable coffee moments for guests visiting the resort. Her involvement in the collaboration reflects the resort's commitment to nurturing talent and creating opportunities for hospitality professionals to grow, learn, and connect with the wider coffee community.

Brew After Hours at Ikan Beachfront
Bringing the coffee journey to a close, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali will host Brew After Hours, a special beachside gathering at the Beachfront on 31 October 2026. Set against panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, the event offers a relaxed setting for coffee enthusiasts to come together over a shared appreciation for specialty coffee.

For one evening only, Mikael Jasin will join Maulida Fika behind the bar to present the three signature coffee creations featured throughout the promotion. Together, they will share the stories behind each beverage, from flavor inspiration to preparation techniques, offering guests a rare opportunity to experience coffee presented side by side by a World Barista Champion and the resort's own in-house barista.

Bringing together international coffee expertise and local hospitality talent, Brew After Hours serves as a fitting finale to The Art of Coffee and a celebration of the people, passion, and craftsmanship behind every cup.

In recognition of World Mental Health Day, The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali is proudly presents Suara Warna Art Showcase, a month-long exhibition launching on 16 October 2026 that celebrates the transformative connection between creativity, emotional well-being, and human resilience. Bringing together the works of acclaimed local artists and young talents from Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan, Suara Warna reflects Westin's commitment to holistic well-being by creating meaningful spaces where stories, emotions, and personal journeys can be shared through art. Hosted in the resort's lobby, the exhibition invites guests and visitors to pause, reflect, and experience the power of self-expression as a pathway to connection, mindfulness, and personal growth. The showcase features a thoughtfully curated collection by intuitive painter Mira El Amir, painter Arina Proboningtyas, sculptor Ayu Sri Rejeki, along with a series of inspiring artworks created by children from Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan. Each artist brings a distinct voice and perspective, transforming personal experiences into visual stories of hope, courage, and perseverance.

More than an art showcase, Suara Warna is a wellness-inspired initiative designed to encourage conversations around mental well-being through the lens of creativity. Through the stories behind each artwork, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on life's challenges and triumphs while discovering how art can become a powerful medium for healing, understanding, and hope.

The exhibition will remain on display for one month, with all artworks available for purchase. In support of the initiative's community impact mission, 100% of proceeds from artworks created by the children of Yayasan Peduli Kemanusiaan will be donated directly to the foundation, helping sustain programs that empower individuals through education, creativity, and personal development.
